Operations Manager Scandinavia

based in the Vestby (Oslo Area)

The Operations Manager is responsible for our Logistics, Transport and Warehouse Management in Scandinavia.

Your role

  • Manage Operations for the Gerflor subsidiaries in Scandinavia – incl. two warehouses in Vestby and Gothenburg – to ensure an efficient operational performance for the region
  • Manage the warehouse teams (7 employees)
  • Analyse, plan and execute optimization projects to make logistics a competitive advantage in the market, actively contributing to business success
  • Mange the operations budgets and performance in close cooperation with central Supply Chain Management in France (HQ), incl. price negotiation with local carriers and service partners
  • Purchase stock orders in line with agreed stock level requirements and sales planning
  • Manage complex change projects, e.g. ERP / WMS system implementation
  • Ensure a good communication and constant flow of information (KPIs) with group SCM
  • Closely align with Scandinavian subsidiaries in Norway, Sweden and Denmark on delivery process and local distribution
  • Be a proactive member of the Scandinavian management team

Required profile

  • University degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or Economics
  • 5+ years working experience in operational logistics management (incl. International transport & freight)
  • Distinct leadership capabilities
  • Proven track record in project management (e.g. systems implementation, change management)
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills - to be able to work well with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working with an ERP system and performing all inventory and procurement transactions
  • Language skills in Norwegian (native level) and English (business fluent) required
  • Willingness to travel (also abroad)
