Following our successful international growth strategy, we have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced
 
Export Area Sales Manager Marine
 
based in UK (home office).
 
The Export Sales Manager Marine is part of our international Transport sales team and targets key customers in the Marine business (shipyards, ship owners, ship designers, outfitters and specialised distributors) in UK, Northern Europe and North America. The goal is to further develop this specific sales segment for our premium products and manage all sales activities in the dedicated region.
 
Your role

  • Manage, develop and leverage relationships with existing customers and distributors in the Marine market (focus on cruise ships, ferries, technical ships)
  • Identify and acquire new customers for the Marine segment in your region
  • Drive sales and contribute to market share growth
  • Lead and manage the sales network partners (agents, distributors) in line with Marine sales strategies
  • Consult and partner with relevant specifiers (e.g. ship designers) and promote the full-range Gerflor product portfolio
  • Negotiate trade agreements and contracts with key customers
  • Conduct market analysis and prepare sales budgets and forecasts for your territory and regular reporting to the Marine market manager
  • Closely cooperate with the Transport sales team and central marketing
  • Attend relevant trade fairs and events

Profil recherché


  • Relevant educational background (technical/commercial)

  • Experience in export sales of industrial products in a B2B environment and in managing sales network partners

  • Experience in complex project follow-up and multi-stakeholder decision-making processes

  • Proven track-record of achieving ambitious sales targets and driving growth

  • Self-starter attitude and ability to work autonomously

  • Ability to adapt quickly to customers and decision-makers on all management-levels

  • Knowledge of CRM-Systems and MS-Office package

  • Very good organisational skills

  • Professional communication skills in English

  • Willingness to extensive international business travel (50%)
